Multifunctional co-working space. Open space and phonebooth, project and presentation rooms.
Description
NUBE by LOOM is a project for the creation of a Coworking space associated with a Rooftop located on the top floor of the Chamartín Tower.Likewise, and in a joint operation, the aim is to fit out the covered outdoor space as a threshold, located on the ground floor and connected to the building's access. The building is located at Calle Dulce Chacón 55 (Madrid), with full visibility from the M30 and A1.
The project concept is based on the idea of Cloud, as the location on the 18th floor gives it a privileged position and views over the city of Madrid, as if it were a cloud. This is why the aesthetics, materials and geometries will emphasise this idea, including the Rooftop, which will become a peak that rises above the cloud. Merlin Properties together with Morph Estudio Arquitectura have developed the original idea on which the project is based.

Description
The proposal focuses on a central core that vertebrates the different uses, such as kitchen, meeting rooms, toilets, vertical communication elements, etc. and is materialised through a three-dimensional metal mesh. The different spaces are housed on it, such as phone boxes, etc., made up of 30 mm melamine boards anchored to the mesh.

Reflection, symmetry, fractal towards infinity
Description
LOOM infinite is committed to dematerialising space and projecting it towards infinity by means of reflections, visual games and geometry.
Opaque skins appear that reflect their surroundings, while at the same time becoming invisible to show what is inside them, or they become a technological skin that displays information.
Some spaces will be invisible, they can only be discovered by looking in one direction.

Description
The plot belongs to a zoning standard NZ 9.3, within the urban management area ACU-05.06 of district 05-Chamartín.
It is an existing building for administrative use: OFFICES, which will undergo refurbishment and exterior works within the regulatory framework of the General Urban Development Plan of Madrid (Compendium of the Urban Development Rules of the PGOU-97).
The aim is to improve the conditions of health, habitability, noise protection, energy efficiency, thermal insulation and security of the building through a partial restructuring of the building. Within this regulatory framework (art.1.4.8), modifications to the internal distribution, morphological characteristics and envelope are permitted, without changing its volume.

Creating communities
Description
The current planning aims to bring together a series of basic facilities in the perimeter of a future square, to build an engaging communal space in the town of Berriozar. The New Town Hall and House of Culture requires the establishment of a symbiotic relationship between both using public spaces. The building configures the public space of the square in exchange for giving prominence to this environment. Additionally, it has created an administrative element by maximizing social interactions within the cultural and political life of the locality. Thus, it is conceived as a unique and resounding volume, a piece that folds on itself, defining “positive” and “negative” spaces, both inside and outside. Its L shape form, enables, on one hand, of an antechamber to Etxaburua Street, giving access to the local culture and police house and, on the other, a large urban plaza where the Town Hall stands as the true protagonist.
With a height that integrates it with the rest of the built environment, a body is highlighted as a tower, where the balcony of the mayor’s office is located, occupying the center of the plaza. The materials used try, once again, to emphasize the emblematic character of the new building. A metallic volume of pre-oxidized copper is created, which is simultaneously resoundingly light. An abstract, timeless and sculptural piece carved according to the urban and functional requirements that the city demands, and where the copper used gives the building the necessary representativeness. The interior, white in pavements and coatings, manages to capture the light and maintain the general abstract character, which allows highlighting certain main rooms underlining them with wooden coverings.
The formal structure consists of a continuous prism arranged vertically and horizontally, configuring the different areas. Both the vertical fold, which is formalized in the tower, and the horizontal fold where the services of the town hall and the house of culture are located, are articulated with a series of gaps, which relate the different areas and allow their use as an exhibition area, as well as public waiting rooms and meeting rooms. These gaps are completed with a set of patios on the first floor, which allow the lighting and ventilation of the different rooms, as well as places of rest and relaxation.
From a functional point of view, our strategy is to provide the building with multifunctional and transparent spaces, avoiding duplicities and minimizing circulation spaces. A strict program, well structured and with the necessary flexibility to adapt to future changes throughout its useful life.
